Travelling this year? Go within…
Maybe you had travel plans for this year that you had to cancel. Maybe you are really yearning for a vacation. It’s been so long since you’ve been some other place, experiencing and exploring something new, relaxing. We’ve all been in lockdown and now maybe you’re not restricted anymore, however you might feel reluctant to travelling for this year with all those plans compromised.
If you’re one of the people who had to cancel their travelling plans and don’t see their vacation anytime soon… this is for you.
Consider this as an opportunity to go within.
Some people really like to explore the outer world and are very used to getting pleasure from that. Others really enjoy exploring their inner world, their thoughts, feelings, just being with themselves is stimulating enough. I’d like to show you how it is to travel within and what interesting things you can find there…
I invite you to go on an inner journey with me right now, into the outskirts of your familiar self.
I invite you to find a comfortable place to relax and sit in quiet, without much external noise and distractions. An easy and fast way to go within is to notice your breath.
Could you focus your attention on your breath as you’re reading this?
And observe for a moment how the air is coming in and going out through your nostrils.
Let go of trying to control your breath, your body knows how to breathe naturally. There’s no need to change anything right now.

And check to see if you have any tension in your body.
Could you let that tension go, relax and love that part of your body?
And check to see if you have any other tension in your body.
Could you let that tension go, relax and love that part of your body?
…
Could you welcome up whatever thoughts come up?
And could you just allow them to be there, open up and allow them to visit your inner house, just like some guests that come, stay there for a short time and then leave.
Let go of trying to push them away or hold them close… just simply allow them to be, without judging them.
And could you give yourself right now some love and approval for the fact that you’ve passed and lived through this half of year?
Could you love yourself because you are right here and right now?
And some more… and some more…
Could you acknowledge your body and mind for being healthy and staying strong throughout this whole year? And could you love them for the fact that they carried you so well this year?
Allow love to fill your body through your breath. With each inhale, your love fills you more and more. And with each exhale allow your negative thoughts and feelings to move out.
And do this for about 5’ … if you feel you are at peace, read further. If not, continue with the previous steps until you feel at peace.
Now ask yourself, what do you need? What’s been missing for you in these past 6 months?
Could you observe that part of you that feels this lack? And could you allow yourself to feel it and embrace it just as it is? And could you love this part that you see right now suffering, lacking ... and love it some more… until you feel at peace again. If you don’t feel at peace, repeat this step.
The invitation is to just be with yourself and your entire inner world.
Ask yourself, what is your heart’s deepest desire that sparks joy and love in you?
What would you like to accomplish?
What would you like to receive?
How would you like to be?
With whom would you like to be?
Which friends would you like to have?
Where would you like to live?
How would your day to day look like?
And allow that picture to take you, drift along with it and look at these images in a relaxed way.
Take some time to drift along with this image.

And as you are getting back to the present moment, remaining in a state of peace and quiet, reflect on this picture. Maybe you’d like to write down some things you enjoyed from this whole picture you’ve been looking at, or draw them. Express this as you feel like. And continue sitting with what is right now in your inner space.
Did you find something new about yourself? Did you experience something new?
Could you allow yourself to be happy in this moment, without anything added to that? Just be happy now, in the moment. Allow yourself to feel at peace and complete without anything needing to change right now.
